Re: Disable Auth in port 25 (Not MUA)

Bill is spot on that fail2ban can do the job just fine on a single server; it's more complex in a multi-server environment, which is why I like the IP address banning capability in Zimbra's DoSFilter. The trick to keep legitimate users happy is to have DoSFilter (or fail2ban) block IP addresses befo...

Re: Disable Auth in port 25 (Not MUA)

Juan, Zimbra by default on Port 25 does no authentication, and will accept email only for domains Zimbra is hosting. Otherwise, Zimbra would be an open relay. Zimbra by default on Ports 465/587 requires authentication, and if authentication is successful will accept email for any destination, whethe...

Re: Issue ZCS 8.8.15

Zimbra 8.8.15 is beta on Ubuntu 18.04. There are several issues that are known and which are being addressed by engineering.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Re: ZCS 8.8.15 considered harmful

Zimbra X and Zimbra 8.8.15 are two different products for two different markets. Zimbra X is for the Service Provider market: telecoms, ISPs etc. whereas 8.8.15 is for the commercial market: companies that want to know and control where their email data lives. Where, exactly, has Synacor provided a...

Re: ZCS 8.8.15 considered harmful

This really scares me about Zimbra X. I went with Zimbra because I refuse to put my email in a hosted cloud and SAAS. I JUST bought this software and JUST finished migrating my 150+ users. I'll be changing again if they try to force me to a hosted cloud or make me pay a montly fee other than suppor...

Re: zmmboxmove to 8.8.15 fails with "no authtoken cookie"

Not an answer to your situation, but I did confirm that to move a mailbox using the NG (ZeXtras) tools, the command must be issued from the source server; i.e., the mailbox server where the mailbox you want to move currently resides.

Any news from Zimbra Support?

All the best,
Mark
