I figured out the connection issues. It was UFW rules that were not consistent with IP changes that I made part way through the process. I'm going to assume the issues are resolved for now.
Thank you for the pointers DualBoot.

Re: Multi Server post install issues - super slow
Thanks for the quick reply DualBoot. That got me some progress because I found a I had an incorrect DNS entry for the mailbox server so it was asking a non-existent server. I'm still getting really slow. Here is what I'm getting in the nginx log 2018/02/14 14:53:47 [error] 1521#0: *5 upstream timed ...

Re: Soap Authentication Failed with no useful source IP
Hey Mark,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I did that when I first set up the fail2ban configuration. zmprov gcf zimbraMailTrustedIP returns both 127.0.0.1 and my non-localhost ip so there is some other way that entry point that isn't getting logged with an IP.

Soap Authentication Failed with no useful source IP
OS: Ubunut 14.04 ZCS-OSS: 8.6.0GA single server with Proxy installed I set up a comprehensive fail2ban security mechanism but we are getting regular attacks that don't seem to register a public ip in the logs. Below are some excerpts from the logs. Where are these coming from and how can I pin down ...

Re: Display Name cached and won't change
Conrad,
Thank you for the pointer. That appeared to fix the problem. Just to lend my voice, yes, this has been a very annoying problem for a long time. A setting in the Admin UI would be a great addition so that it could be had both ways.

Display Name cached and won't change
In our environment, we have a significant number of user accounts that have a position title as the email address instead of the user's first.last. We do this so that we can deal with turnover a little more smoothly. In 8.0.x (we got on the Zimbra train at 8.0.2 and went to 8.0.6 before migrating to...

Migration from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04
Just to throw in my experience that worked. Started as 8.0.6 on 12.04.4. 8.0.6 > 8.5.1(for 12.04) then 12.04.4 > 14.04.1 then 8.5.1 > 8.5.1 (for 14.04) The last step took care of the perl dependancy issue. I did it on a dev box and am going to do it a couple more times before attempting it with my l...
