[SOLVED] Admin app and Firefox 2.0.0.8

We have found and solved the problem where after logging onto the CMP Administrator application, the Firefox browser would hang. This condition only occurred in a system with >10 domains, > 90 resources and >80 users. The fix is to increase the Firefox setting: network.max_persistent-connections-per...

[SOLVED] Admin app and Firefox 2.0.0.8

Has anyone seen any lockup or hanging problems with Open Source Edition Zimbra 4.5.6 and Firefox 2.0.0.8? I've got some issues here, everything works fine with IE7.
Regards,

Chris

New licensing changes

With the new YPL changes, where does it leave the logo requirements of the client side code?
Are we free to move or replace the Zimbra or Zimbra inside logo? Can we still use the Zimbra inside logo? (I'd like to retain the logo but move it to another location on the screen.)

Outlook 2007 iCal format

Just found a bug in the way iCal4j parses Outlook 2007 iCal messages (bug seems to be in MS BTW). Not sure whether this code is in 4.5, I'm working on the 3.1.4 source. Zimbra does this in cs.mailbox.calendar.ZCalendar::ZCalendarBuilder::build: ... CalendarParser parser = new CalendarParserImpl(); ....

US DST Change support in Zimbra 4.0.5

So in a previous post I assumed that a date check in 2005 would exhibit the daylight savings rule that was in effect at that time. Indeed running Zimbra on a Mac with FF this was the case. However on a Windows machine (Vista and a fully patched XP) this is NOT the case. Suddenly Javascript dates aro...

McAfee Phishing Filter Slows Zimbra

Interesting problem today - while running Zimbra on my spiffy new laptop and Vista Zimbra was veeerrrryyyy slow to load up (10 sec pauses between every css or js file download). After investigation discovered that turning off the McAfee Phishing filter (as came with the Dell laptop) solved the probl...

Calendar speed

With a complex calendar, lots of recurring meetings etc. we've seen the Calendar display run pretty slow on a low-spec machine. We had to increase the Javascript timeout in Firefox.
IE6 is pretty slow of course, are you running that?

US DST Change support in Zimbra 4.0.5

I have confirmed the problem in Zimbra 4.0.5 and confirmed that the fixes below fix the issue. From a Zimbra client with browser platform in NZDT. In Calendar I created an appointment. I set the timezone to US/Central, I created a meeting on the 10th March 2007 at 3pm - it showed in my NZDT calendar...
