Admin Panel: "Some services are not running"
Hi, We have a newly installed Zimbra 8.8.15_GA_3888.FOSS running on Ubuntu 18.04LTS. For completeness, the OS was upgraded from 16.04LTS and we had a previous version of Zimbra which was not compatible with Ubuntu 18.04 - after a few weeks of trying to get things fully upgraded we gave up and perfor...

Setting mailbox read-only ?
No more info on this? I have the a similar need to allow users to log into a mailbox on the Zimbra server, view existing e-mails, contacts, and appointments, but dissallow them from actually sending e-mails. While I don't really care if they delete stuff from the mailbox, it would be nice to prevent...

Domain Aliases
If you wish to see any features added to Zimbra you should file an RFE in bugzilla so it will get to the attention of the developers.
How about just getting the features that are *already* there available to the masses without all the Voodoo? So many feat...

Migrate from Zimbra to Exchange
We still haven't made any decisions on this, even though it's been 6 months ;) Thanks for all the information fcash regarding a migration if we decide to go that route. I'm curious about the statement that AV/AS shouldn't run on the mail storage platform - Zimbra does this by default, right? I see n...

Migrate from Zimbra to Exchange
Excellent information gnyce, thank you. I will contact Zimbra sales to see what is offered to get a more apples-to-apples comparison. Some counterpoints, just to make sure my understanding is correct (or allow others to comment if/why they aren't correct ;-) ): 1. Exchange 2010 includes anti-spam at...

Migrate from Zimbra to Exchange
Maybe the decision came down to money. We're in the midst of a similar decision making process: do we migrate from Zimbra to Exchange. Here's my research so far... We have 80 users and are currently using the free edition of Zimbra. However, we really need mobile connect for about 1/4th of our peopl...

Sort by size
Can a Zimbra employee comment on the sort by size feature and if/when we'll see it implemented? Directing us to BugZilla to vote is nice and all but obviously what gets implemented is impacted by other factors than the vote (as noted in the post above by bhwong). Not being able to sort by size makes...

Any way to truly confirm the Zimbra version running?
Ok so I think that's my root problem. The failed 6.0.4 install left the OS databases showing 6.0.4 packages were installed and they aren't. I guess I'll try telling the Zimbra install to ignore the current installed version and install anyway. My fear is that it won't correctly identify the current ...

Any way to truly confirm the Zimbra version running?
I'm far from a Linux expert and understanding/following the syntax in the install files takes me huge amounts of time. However, I have managed to track down that the install process is using the following line to determine the version of each package: dpkg -s {zimbra-package} Taking a look at the pa...

Any way to truly confirm the Zimbra version running?
Are you saying there are Zimbra components installed outside the /opt/zimbra directory tree? I've had failed installs before (including previous attempts to upgrade to 6.0.0 and 6.0.2) where I followed the same delete/restore process and everything was fine - including the ability to attempt an upgr...
