Re: Zimbra 9 now available - in case anyone missed the blog post

I'm curious how they meet the various licensing requirements of all the FOSS they use now that they've gone closed source.

You are aware that Zimbra doesn't actually use Bugzilla anymore right? Filing a bug there is just a blackhole. They keep it around so people don't complain they can't file bugs that'll never be looked at.

Re: ZCS 8.8.15 considered harmful

I did note this on the beta page though "Based on Zimbra’s open source project ensuring security and allowing for full source code review", so one might (perhaps rashly) make the assumption there will remain some form of OSE Zimbra edition. Yes, I've also seen that and that requires someo...

There is no next release of Zimbra (the current classic) and Zimbra X is container based, so fairly unlikely?

Re: ZCS 8.8.15 considered harmful

Yes, 8.8.15 is (currently) supposed to be the final release of Zimbra "classic", i.e., the Zimbra that's been developed since 2005 or so. The replacement is "Zimbra X" (https://info.zimbra.com/zimbra-x-beta), https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190219005557/en/Synacor%E2%80%...

Not sure what you want fixed? That simply indicates that slapd is successfully writing change data.

Thanks for replying. It seems that you need to run the migration tool and then use that with their backup software which requires a subscription on a per seat basis (with a limited free trial option) or have I misread that? My concern would be if we then get issues pre or post the migration I presu...

Re: Issue after upgrading to 8.8.15

There are some important things to keep in mind. In the past, a patch release was nearly always just that, a patch release. However, at some point since 8.6, Zimbra has changed what they do so "patch" releases should really be considered a "brand new" release of Zimbra (like say,...

Re: postscreen_cache: MDB_PAGE_FULL: Internal error - page has no more space

The version of LMDB shipped by Zimbra has a bug in it that needs addressing, as noted at https://www.openldap.org/its/index.cgi/?findid=8969
