What version of Zimbra are you using? How many contacts were there in PST file?

You mean to say that after migration to Zimbra you are not able to set mark as read/unread for a message. Did you tried from UI? Right Click on message and mark it as read/unread.

You can search help zmmailbox to get it done using CLI.
