Re: An unknown error has occurred - Webmail Login
I'm replying to an old thread, but Google was finding this for the question and it never really got answered here, and since I was running into the same problem and found a solution to it I thought I'd share for the next person to find this thread via Google. :-) Check if it works in a different bro...

How to make an address bounce
I have a domain with a catch-all address. The catch-all is very useful and I don't want to ditch it. But one of the drawbacks of a catch-all is that you wind up getting spam sent to addresses that otherwise wouldn't exist. To counter that, I'd like to blacklist a list of about 70 addresses which get...

Re: Since Upgrading To Zimbra 8.8.5, Have Been Getting Numerous Lock Errors
Been running into this, too, after upgrading from 8.6.x to 8.8.5. Happy to help debug if you tell me what to look for. I've got a small site with very few users so I can take it down on a whim to test stuff.

HELO hostname
I know I'm bumping an ancient thread, but since this is getting found in Google searches, I just wanted to point out that you can NOT set these items via zmlocalconfig. Those keys don't exist in zmlocalconfig (at least as of ZCS 8.0.2). If https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=80747 ever gets ...

Upgrade ZCS 6.0.12 to 8.0 with upgrade ubuntu 8.04 to 12.04.
That sounds like MySQL itself didn't get upgraded, not just Zimbra's schema in it.
Try running (as root)
/opt/zimbra/mysql/bin/mysql_upgrade
NOTE: always a good idea to have a backup first before trying stuff like this, too, just in case.

ZCS servers of the same version but on different OSes can still talk to each other for the communication between boxes. The main information you'll want to follow is here: OS Specific Platform Upgrades - Zimbra :: Wiki The short version is you'll need to upgrade the machines a couple times in sequen...

SPF is only stating your intentions, it's up to the recipient of the email whether they honor those intentions or not. A lot of places still don't. Anyone who's actually checking SPF on mail coming from your domain would reject it or tag it as spam if it didn't originate on your servers, but anyone ...

The From address is generated by your email client. Whatever you have configured in it is what it'll use, and you can change that to whatever you want. (This is using clients such as Thunderbird, Postbox, Outlook, etc). I know in Thunderbird you can add additional "identities" that aren't ...
