Re: WARN: contact - unable to deref contact group member
I just noticed this problem today, in 2024. ZCS 8.8.15 network. Lots of users have this warning. Aside from the warnings in the log file, the issue does not seem to be visible to end users, as the invalid contact group members simply are not displayed. But today for the first time i got a complaint ...

Problem with forwarding invitations - Forged From: address
This has only come to my attention today, despite our running ZCS for years. Maybe it's new, or we've just been lucky the last decade. Problem is that forwarding a calendar invitation using the web interface forces the From: address to be the sender (organizer) of the attached event invitation. If t...

Isn't 8.8.15 flagged as LTS? Why would it be unsupported at this point?

"Message content is invalid" re-importing messages I just exported
We frequently use zmmailbox to export messages from an account with getRestURL in tgz format, and then import them from the same .tgz file into another account with postRestURL. Both accounts are on the same server. This mostly works, but often enough we have a few messages in each batch that don't ...

Security: zmmailboxdmgr running as root, and rpm -V failing md5s on binaries
Hi, we have a sudden focus on Zimbra security here. I am wondering if zmmailboxdmgr should really be running as root?? # zmcontrol -v Release 8.8.15_GA_3869.RHEL7_64_20190917004220 RHEL7_64 NETWORK edition, Patch 8.8.15_P32. # ps -ef |grep zmmailboxdmgr root 13394 1 0 Jul18 ? 00:00:00 /opt/zimbra/li...

Folder flag documentation?
Hello, I am trying, with no luck, to find documentation regarding the possible folder flags that can be e.g. set with the zmmailbox mff command. I am aware of the "i" flag, and I see some others such as "u", "*', and "#". But I can't find out what these mean, or wh...

.zdb file size limit in Outlook with ZCO; any workarounds?
Hello. With Outlook in Windows, the max usable size for a .pst file is ~50GB. Is the .zdb file subject to the same limitation? (It seems to be.) If so, is there any way to get around this limit? Our users would like to have arbitrarily large accounts in our Zimbra 8.7.11 NE + ZCO environment. Thanks.

Zimbra 8.7 rhel7 repo bad cert?
ZCS 8.7.11 NE on RHEL 7 The last week or two, yum update has been failing with this: https://repo.zimbra.com/rpm/87/rhel7/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#60 - "Peer's Certificate issuer is not recognized." Anyone else? Edit: I was able to prevent the error by adding sslverify=0 to the...

lmtp - Not delivering message with duplicate Message-ID
Any idea about zimbraMessageIdDedupeCacheSize, what does the value 3000 means.
The way I understand it, it means that Zimbra will remember the last 3000 Message-IDs it sees, and prevent delivery of any "duplicates" of those 3000 messages. It's up to...
