Best way to migrate from ZCS 8.04 Open Source to a split ZCS 8.0.6 Network Edition?
Zextras didn't work for me. The migration isn't too hard, and here are the general steps: 1) Upgrade to Network Edition of the same version. Since I'm on 8.0.4 GA, I need to install 8.0.4 NE. 2) Upgrade to 8.0.7 NE 3) Configure multi-master replication with a new LDAP server running 8.0.7 NE 4) Use ...

How do I increase the MTA timeout value?
I'm trying to increase the MTA timeout on ZCS 8.0.4 Open Source - it looks like it's set to 30 seconds by default. Which command or attribute is used to change this? I'm going to be sending email to a domain that has a server which is regularly busy and may take longer than the 30 seconds to respond...

System-wide disclaimer not being added when webmail used but added when SMTP used
Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? I'm using 8.0.4 OCS and the system-wide disclaimer is working when using a mail client like Thunderbird and Outlook and sending over SMTP, but when Zimbra Web-mail or Zimbra Desktop is used to send mail, it doesn't get appended. The email headers from the...

MTA broken after 7.2 to 8.0.7 OCS upgrade
We had a secondary MTA server running on Zimbra 7.2 OCS that was using an 8.0.4 OCS LDAP/Mailbox server for mta authentication and as the LDAP master. Only core and mta were running on this system. I upgraded it to 8.0.7 OCS and saw a fail message at the part of the installation script where it was ...

Best way to migrate from ZCS 8.04 Open Source to a split ZCS 8.0.6 Network Edition?
Thanks for that information..will definitely go to 8.0.7.
Is there any way to re-use the data partition that's currently being used by 8.0.4? The data is on a netapp filer with snapshots, so I could make a copy of the entire directory for the new server.

Best way to migrate from ZCS 8.04 Open Source to a split ZCS 8.0.6 Network Edition?
Hi everyone, I'm planning to migrate everything from a single ZCS 8.0.4 Open Source server to a split services ZCS 8.0.6 Network Edition server. The NE servers will be split into 1 LDAP, 1 Mailbox, and 2 Proxy/MTA servers. What would be the best way to migrate all the accounts and data (including se...

How to allow users to access internal LDAP address book when external auth in use?
I currently have a single domain that is set up for external AD authentication of the users. However, some users need to query Zimbra's LDAP for address book synchronization, but aren't able to because they can't authenticate to the internal LDAP server. Anyone know how to get this working with the ...

How to connect to Zimbra LDAP to add users/aliases to address book?
I now believe I can't authenticate because the user is using external AD to authenticate with Zimbra. Given this, how can they authenticate with Zimbra LDAP to sync the address book?

How to connect to Zimbra LDAP to add users/aliases to address book?
Hi All, I've tried using Thunderbird and LDAPAdmin to connect to my Zimbra 8.0.6 LDAP server to pull valid users and aliases to populate a local address book, but I'm able to authenticate. I've used the Bind DN as uid=,ou=people,dc=mydomain,dc=com and filled in the correct password but with LDAPAdmi...
