Re: Security Update: Authentication Bypass in MailboxImportServlet vulnerability

Hi, The vulnerability in this case concerns the Network Edition because it requires the mboximport module. Zimbra OSE is not affected by this vulnerability? I managed to recreate this attack on the NE environment, on the same FOSS version the attack does not work because FOSS does not have the zmmb...

Re: Which files need to be updated to change the main IP address?

I found out why these files were not updated. I did not have all domains and subdomains pointed to the new IP address in my hosts file. I mistakenly thought having the main mailserver hostname pointed to the new IP address would be enough.

Re: Which files need to be updated to change the main IP address?

Very odd... I spin up snapshots all the time and don't run into this issue. I generally only have to watch out for /etc/resolv.conf (not pointing to our NS) and the ip address as that is modified on restart in our environment even for snapshots. In fact, unless I want to test sending out email, I d...

Re: Which files need to be updated to change the main IP address?

Double check that hostname isn't different from zmhostname. If it is, add that entry in /etc/hosts also. Normally, If I want to also send email out, I would update zimbraMtaMyNetworks and wait a few mins for zmconfig to pick up the changes or restart zimbra. A final thought, there is a bug with /et...

Which files need to be updated to change the main IP address?

I have my zimbra server running inside a virtual machine, and am occasionally restoring a backup of it to another node to see if it's still restorable. I used to test this by changing the IP address in: - /etc/hosts - zimbra trusted mta list - opt/zimbra/conf/nginx/includes/nginx.conf.memcache - /op...

Re: Zimbra 9 Modern Client in Network Edition Only

Neglecting the zimbra community is (imho) not a good step for zimbra. A lot of software is is elevated by the support of the community. Both visible and invisible. I've had private (family, my websites, etc) zimbra servers for years, so I know a bit of how it works, how to administer it, update it, ...

Re: Zimbra Live Sync Error

Thank you for the clarification. This means it's not something in my specific installation. Zmplayredo is part of zimbra, so i wouldnt see why this would be a legacy backup tool. There's nothing in the installation notes about it either. I think it may have been something that's been unintentionally...

Re: Zimbra 8.6 to zimbra 8.7: "Some services are not running"

Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction with "zmloggerhostmap". That command indeed showed the localhost entry. Removed it using: zmloggerhostmap -d localhost localhost Found a wiki article for it when searching for zmloggerhostmap: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Server_status_in_the...

[SOLVED] Zimbra 8.6 to zimbra 8.7: "Some services are not running"

Hi, I've just upgraded my Zimbra Open Source 8.6 to 8.7.1. The upgrade went well, however, in the adminpanel it now states that "Some services are not running". The server status monitor shows that all services of my mailserver are running on my "mail.host.name", but since the up...
