Re: [Solved] Clamd failes and subject of messages shows up as Unchecked every few days

FYI, for anyone on Ubuntu who is having the memory problem that I was having, I found a package called swapspace It dynamically manages the swap file for you, which seems like a way easier way to manage this. Installation. sudo apt-get install swapspace Man pages are here: https://manpages.ubuntu.co...

Re: How to find out what user is sending mail with from=<>

An addendum to this is that I just noticed that if a user has an auto-reply or out of office reply turned on, then when someone sends an email to them, the auto-reply shows up in the zimbra logs as being from <>. These messages are actually delivered via our outbound mail gateway, so this is a parti...

How to find out what user is sending mail with from=<>

We have been getting black listed on a few RBLs and having general mail delivery issues to @yahoo and @aol domains for a few days now. We starting implementing an inbound and outbound 3rd party anti-spam gateway service. We are using Spam Hero and so far it is reasonably priced and working well. Sin...

Is there anyone working these instructions on 8.7.11?
Here is my version. Whitelisting does not work.
zmcontrol -v
Release 8.7.11_GA_1854.RHEL7_64_20170531151956 RHEL7_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.7.11_P11.

Please read my instructions above. This works with 8.7.

Re: Smart Host/Relay Host configuration - setting a password?

Hi @phoenix, I'm wondering if the WIKI that you wrote, which is located here -> https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Outgoing_SMTP_Authentication#Enabling_SMTP_authentication is still valid for Zimbra 8.8. The instructions seem to be from an 8.0 or 8.5 perspective. I wonder if there have been any updates si...

What do you do, if anything, on the zimbra side to accommodate the spamwall service? Do you disable any services?

Thanks,
David

Re: I give up, after 8 years I'm going to implement a 3rd party inbound anti-spam. Any feedback on Spam Hero?

Hi Bill, I have read your posts on Rspamd over the years and It seems complicated enough that I didn't want to venture into it. I also didn't want to fundamentally change my zimbra installation from the default config. I am open minded about it, so I could be swayed, but using a 3rd party inbound ga...

I give up, after 8 years I'm going to implement a 3rd party inbound anti-spam. Any feedback on Spam Hero?

I can't keep up with the spam anymore using the default settings in Zimbra. Spamassasin, Postscreen, and RBLs just don't cut it. Too many phishing attempts, too many obvious junk mails that get through, etc. I have reviewed and looked a alot of anti-spam gateways and have settled on Spam Hero. 1) I'...

[solved] Re: DNS cache seems corrupt

I would like to report that this issue has been solved by replacing the Cisco ASA 5505 firewall with a SonicWall TZ-600. After months of this issue, we have finally ironed out the problems. Over the past weeks, I had to turn off DNS cache so that normal DNS queries would take place to get around the...
