How to protect from backscatter?

I am seeing a few emails slip through the anti-spam filter that have the from email address of a legit user. The email is also addressed to the legit user. The email server that it comes through is randomized each time, and the content is definitely SPAM. I am trying to figure out if there is a way ...

Re: error in network service after one wrong login

I, too , experience this from time to time with NE instance. Was there any solution? Did increasing the zimbraInvalidLoginFilterMaxFailedLogin work? I believe that you need to whitelist any IP addresses or networks that you don't want to be filtered. To show the current whitelist zimbra@zimbra:~$ z...

Re: memcached amplification attack

I also rebooted my sever fully, not just restarted memchaced and that did the trick. I rebooted the server completely (Operation system reboot), not only zimbra memacached. Fix didnt work, only firewall. I had the issue "come back" too, but as mentioned, once my ISP unsuspended my server,...

Re: memcached amplification attack

I have been affected by this. My ISP suspended my server because it was because it was generated a huge amount of outbound UDP traffic. They would not unblock it for 24 hours. They finally explained what was going on and then unblocked it, only for it to get blocked again in under an hour. They sent...

Re: Since Upgrading To Zimbra 8.8.5, Have Been Getting Numerous Lock Errors

We don't have a public bug for this, as it has been reported through Zimbra support. We've had a team of engineers focused on this, and have a hotfix in test now. It's anticipated to be available before the end of this week - I expect EOD Thursday, if all goes well. (I've warned the team that it mu...

Re: 8.7.11 to 8.8.6 (on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) smooth and successful

Ohh, Jorge, I agree with you on the above, but my issue is only one .... lack of free support for Activesync on Zimbra on OSE edition ... They don't want to pay, because if so, they move to Google or M$ in that case. Since they moved on using the outlook client, my headaches have increased a lot, a...

Re: Since Upgrading To Zimbra 8.8.5, Have Been Getting Numerous Lock Errors

davidkillingsworth, from your description, you might be seeing a different problem than what this thread is about. I don't recall seeing high CPU usage or slowness when this problem happens, what I do see is many users unable to login and access email. In your mailbox.log, do you see tons of "...

Re: 8.7.11 to 8.8.6 (on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) smooth and successful

I respectfully disagree Bill. I'm using the open source edition, but this problem surely affects NE users as well. Zimbra is supposed to be a world class email server that is supposed to be competing with Office 365 and on-premise Exchange. It's a great product and I will continue to support, recomm...
