Re: Potential Bug: MTA may not start with zmcontrol

This can occur when calling zmcontrol restart where the MTA may not start up. It's unlikely but it can occur depending how unlucky you are. We have been plagued with this for the past four years. Thanks for the details of your investigation, it all makes sense what is causing it now... Luckily we h...

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

The Release Notes from 8.8.11 Patch 3 indicate a fix for Edge browsers and Chrome 73 is included. Thanks Mark! I can confirm that this does indeed fix the problem with Edge. The Zimbra updates were included with our Ubuntu 16 package management updates 'apt-get dist-upgrade'. zimbra-common-core-jar...

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

Just for reference, this issue is address in the following pull-request: https://github.com/Zimbra/zm-ajax/pull/75 and https://github.com/Zimbra/zm-web-client/pull/443 Sorry to ask but has anyone an idea when the fix might find its way into a general patch? The majority of our users all use Edge so...

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

Just to add we also upgraded to 8.8.11 FOSS last weekend and unsurprisingly the problem is still apparent.

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

Same for us, all worked until recently and then suddenly not. Thanks a lot for you replies, it looks like this is a general issue and not just our builds.

If anyone from Synacor is listening it might be a time to take a look? This is a major bug, Edge is an important browser and deserves attention.

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

An unashamed bump up on this issue...

Can anyone else confirm if they are having problems with the Zimbra web client using the latest Microsoft Edge web browser? Your input will help myself and Matt to know if the problem is general or localised with our installations!

Thanks a lot!

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

Just to add I can also confirm Matt's comment about the Edge Developer console reporting:

Code: Select all

Re: Ajax UI fails in Edge, works in Chrome, all users

We have exactly the same problem with 8.7.11_GA_3706. Users cannot login to the Zimbra ajax web client using the Microsoft Edge browser... This has happened only in the last few days, prior to that Edge was working perfectly with the Zimbra ajax web client. Once the login and password has been typed...

Re: Error moving from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04: It should be impossible to reach this statement.

I had a similar problem when I tried to move my 8.7.11 instance from ubuntu-12.04 to ubuntu-16.04. I created my new 16.04 machine and installed the correct version of zcs on it. Then I stopped zimbra and mounted my existing installation of the same version at /opt/zimbra, then tried to run ./instal...
