Still having issues loading Zimbra applicance under ESXi 5.1

This is a VMware ESX issue, not a Zimbra issue, therefore I'd suggest you're posting in the wrong place. Open Exchange is a chocolate teapot as well so good luck with that :D

SPF checks not being made?

SPF has nothing to do with a sending server as such. Its an entry held against the domain (typically as a TXT entry in DNS) which tells the world a list of genuine servers that might send out email for that domain. Whats more annoying is that this morning I spotted an email from my own email address...

SPF checks not being made?

Hi does the sender have an SPF record setup? Zimbra cannot check what isn't there. In the case of your second example the email has come from Google and is DKIM signed. I may be wrong, but I think if the email is DKIM signed SPF is bypassed (after all whats the point of making an older, often inaccu...

ZCO and Outlook 2010 Crash when mouse-over addressee
So I guess you're not really interested in helping improve the product?
If I'm being totally honest with you, not really - I don't have the time although obviously I'd like all the issues to be resolved. Maybe I am posting against the wrong target audienc...

ZCA 8 Appliance: Anyone Using in Production

I've only ever used 8 but this was a while back so it would have been 8.0.0 or 8.0.1 I think. There was a *big* difference for me - the underlying platform was the same so I had to conclude it was the appliance. If I get a spare half hour I'll have to try again; I liked the idea of the appliance as ...

ZCO and Outlook 2010 Crash when mouse-over addressee

if I believed for a minute that they stood a chance of being fixed, yes indeed. However as I dive deeper into Zimbra and look on these forums I'm quite disappointed as to the number of issues and how long some things have been outstanding for.

ZCO and Outlook 2010 Crash when mouse-over addressee

Oh just as an aside, I tried something this morning. 1. Started off with my perfectly working single profile with Exchange. No ZC installed. 2. Installed Zimbra connector 3. Started outlook, created new profile just for Zimbra, added *only* the Zimbra account. switched back to my exchange-only profi...

ZCO and Outlook 2010 Crash when mouse-over addressee

I'm really not that bothered about the calendar/contact/task sync, I'm perfectly happy with just email on an IMAP/SMTP basis.
And I'm definitely not interested in changing my entire faultless PC setup just to workaround a bit of flakey software ;-)

ZCA 8 Appliance: Anyone Using in Production

I originally deployed my personal email domain (myself, family etc) on an appliance. Services randomly crashed (not "often", perhaps once a week or so) and mail delivery was interrupted, requiring a restart. The appliance is also slow to boot/restart. I moved over to CentOS, much faster. N...

about zimbra MTA Trusted network setting

As I have found out this evening, the MTA Trusted Network setting needs to include the IP address of the Zimbra box as well as 127.0.0.0/8 in order for the connector to work (for users to be able to relay). This has the side effect of wrecking some antispam functionality on our server, specifically ...
