Admin console JavaScript error

Dear guys, I updated my system to Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS and Zimbra 8.8.15.GA and things have been working well. Unfortunately I have encountered a problem with the Admin Console that gives me "JavaScript error encountered in method ..." for most menu options. The reason for goin into the cons...

Re: Importing mail from Apple Mail client

Hi guys,

it turns out that this is a problem with AppleMail export function. It only exports messages from someone else, so the exported mbox folder is incomplete. I shall investigate further.

Cheers,
Dave

Importing mail from Apple Mail client

I have done a clean-install of Ubuntu 18.04 and Zimbra 8.8.15. Everything working as expected. I now need to transfer backed-up mail messages from an Apple machine (running Catalina) to the ZCS environment so that they are accessible to mobile devices (i.e. through Zimbra). So, I set up a couple of ...

Re: Modifying rules for incoming mail

Hi Bill, thanks for the quick reply. In fact I also found the solution in the forum here: https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=64190 The key was indeed the word 'catchall' which I hadn't previously tried. The reason for wanting this facility was a mail-management tool, where we could u...

Modifying rules for incoming mail

Hi, I have recently upgraded my OS to Ubuntu 18.04 (clean install on re-partitioned disc) and installed ZCS 8.8.15. My previous installation (8.8.6) had been modified so that a message addressed to anybody@mydomain.com would be sent to a designated account rather than rejected (obviously there is no...

dnscache port conflict

Hi. I have just installed 8.8.15 on a clean-install Ubuntu 18.04 system. So far so good, and mail is working. But I have a reported port conflict with DNScashe that is documented to use Port 53, just like DNSmasq. The installation guide I followed recommended DNSmasq and that makes sense, especially...

Re: Tracing spam relay activity

Thank you for the help. The number of mails recorded as delivered the Zextras daily report is worrying. I've tried looking in the logs, but I don't know what I'm looking for. That's why I wanted to located a log of outgoing mail. Zimbra 6 had a log zimbra.smpt, but I can't find an equivalent in v8. ...

Tracing spam relay activity

Hi. I'm running Zimbra 8.6.0_GA_1153.FOSS under Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. I have seen a sharp increase in the number of outgoing messages from my server over the past week or so from the normal 10s of messages to many hundreds per day. I've looked at the log files and I can see the usual spam mail arrival...

Hi

The solution seemed to be walk away for half an hour and the interface comes up. The problem seemed to be related to security certificates.
