That just lasted for a short while... as soon as activesync client fetch emails it starts flooding againg and overloads the Zimbra server. Restarting Z-push seems to help just for a short time...

Suddenly I also got the same same behavior. I am running latest Zimbra om a single server and Z-push on another. Shutting down z-push stops the flooding of Zimbra.log I noticedd that name-resoluiton had stopped functioning, so I hade to reconfigure it. I also updated the Z-push server with apt-get u...

Looks like that was the solution. After 6.5 hours the mailbox.log file is now 56 KB instead of 15-20 GB and the errors in the log are gone.

Ok, I was able to change it with:
zmlocalconfig -e zimbra_waitset_max_per_account=10
zmcontroldctl restart
zmlocalconfig -e zimbra_waitset_max_per_account=10
zmcontroldctl restart

I have upgraded to Zimbra 8.8.8 from previous release and also upgraded from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. After Ubuntu upgrade I reinstalled Zimbra 8.8.8 (Ubuntu 16 version) over it.
