Re: Can Zimbra show sender address in inbox?

Since this was #1 on Google when I had the same question. This forum post shows the answer: https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?t=16442 To show the full E-mail address instead of just the name you can enable the setting per COS. The line below assumes the "default" COS zmprov mc defaul...

Re: Share Entire Mailbox

I was trying to do exactly what GetMeOutOfExchange was doing and followed his guide then tested things out. I found I could re-share the folder that I was granted access to then delete its contents from another account. The attribute "a" allows this so remove it if you want to be sure some...

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

@ L. Mark Stone I cleaned up the extra spamassasin conf files and other misc items to make it match the server without issue, all without result. Set the vm.swappiness=1 (as 0 now means to disable the swap altogether), without result. Ran the mysqltuner.pl and got these results (which are the same a...

Re: Is anyone using an anti-spam gateway service?

I like ASSP (free, opensource, a bit involved to setup but beautiful to see work): https://sourceforge.net/projects/assp/

We host ours on a Linode. It also has the capability to sync settings between 2 different installs so you can have a backup mx as well.

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

Thank you. I will check those values. I haven't timed it perfectly, but it seems it's timing out at 10 minutes which is a common timeout variable. And due to the "timeout" listed in the shutdown process: Apr 3 23:37:49 mail postfix/amavisd/smtpd[11477]: timeout after END-OF-MESSAGE from lo...

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

Both files are the same except for 2 things, that the order of the line items are different and the value of innodb_buffer_pool_size is different; 4163895296 for the server with the delay and 2511535718 for the server that is fine. The 4163895296 value was given to me by Zimbra support when I sent t...

Re: Authentification against samba Active directory

If your Zimbra is in production and you don't want to break things for the existing users, you could add another testing subdomain to your Zimbra server (such as testing.example.com) and use this to test AD authentication. You don't need to setup MX records or anything since you're not testing mailf...

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

Yes, for the logs that I had posted earlier, the server with a delay is a server that's been in operation and updated through about 6 years; the server without a delay is 2 years old. The firewall at the gateway is stateful and the only outbound rule is allow all. The server has both an IPV4 and an ...

Zimbra Open Source Support Experiences (paid support)

Hello, I've had a longstanding issue that I couldn't figure out so I purchased a support contract for the Open Source Edition of Zimbra. The cost was a little over $1k which is a lot for me but I like Zimbra and thought it was time for me to stop being cheap, and I was tired of not sleeping since tr...

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

Thank you for your reply Mark. It wasn't that firewalld was present on one and not the other, it was that if the firewall (at the network gateway) was used to block traffic to the Zimbra server then the shutdown delay didn't occur. Once I opened the ports back up (allowing normal traffic) the delay ...
