It seems it was the logging into the resource account part i was having trouble with and to fix this, I was required to set a password in order to log in.
Thanks all.

Sharing the calender of a resource
Hi all I have created a resource within zimbra for a standing desk that we are allowing staff to trial. I made the resource type to be equipment and can successfully book the room out, which shows in my personal calendar. In order to see who else has booked this resource, I need to find a way to sha...

Account Cannot Be Validated Against The Server
We have had a number of new machines delivered today and we are trying to set them up for our employees. We are currently running Windows 7, Office 2016 and the Zimbra connecter version 8.2. On an old computer, the installation of Outlook 2016 gave us no issues at all but on the new machine it alway...

Hi there I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and have a Zimbra server that has an 'untrusted certificate'. When attempting to add an account to Outlook 2010 it fails, stating that there was an "error loading SSL libraries". It worked in Windows 7 by going into the registry "HKEY_LO...

I was able ...

Re: Unable to Access LDAP for Backup
Do you mean remove the password completely or go back to the old one? The problem we have is that the member of staff who set up our mail server has left and the details were lost. Failing that i could try the LDAP root password which is something like qXiAA...

[SOLVED] Unable to Access LDAP for Backup
We have had a Zimbra user on our server for some time now which we did not know the password too. I decided to change the password so that everyone could log in without having to go through the root user and using the "su" command to log in to the zimbra user. This had some implications th...
