Re: weird Zimbra DNS caching problem

Turns out it was the opnsense problem. I had made some other DNS related changes on the router earlier in an attempt to fix it before I found that link. Once I applied the recommended fix from the link, and reverted the other changes I had made earlier, the Zimbra server started acting correctly so ...

weird Zimbra DNS caching problem

I've been getting a lot more spam than normal on my test server at home, and I think I tracked it down to a problem with the caching DNS server (Unbound) that recent versions of Zimbra want you to install. The Zimbra server is on my LAN so Split DNS is setup and the router forwards port 25 and 443. ...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

If i do "zxsuite backup getAvailableAccounts" on the source server - every account except the .archive accounts show up so I'm thinking ZAD is not currently supported by zextras or backup ng unfortunately. I've opened a ticket with support which thus far seems to be way behind the curve on...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

I uninstalled the zextras migration utility and installed the legacy suite as you guys recommended but got the same behavior - still no luck restoring in 8.8.8. Just to convince myself that I did see it working in 8.8.7, I spun up a VM with 8.8.7 and tried it with mixed results. We are using ZAD (Zi...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

Regarding migration utility vs suite - probably just based on what i was reading at the time - i don't think i had seen the wiki article or this thread - just the howtos on zextras site. If i don't get any satisfaction from support, i may try uninstall migration utility and installing the suite on t...

Re: Migrating Zimbra (from 8.6.0 to 8.8.7) - Leveraging Zextras “NG” modules

We are in a similar situation - source server is 8.6.0 NE ubuntu 12.04 - destination is 8.8.8 NE ubuntu 16.04. Initially, I had done: # wget https://download.zextras.com/zextras_migration_tool-latest.tgz and installed it on the source server. FWIW, when you untar this it creates a folder zextras_mig...

Re: Zextras Core Missing

I see this with fresh installs of 8.8.6 and 8.8.7 network edition as well. To understand it, I think you also have to understand that the new "Network Modules NG" you get in Network Edition is essentially zextras suite - and they haven't fully finished the integration/renaming it looks lik...
