Use the solution 3 posts higher if you have an android phone. No need for permissions for access.

Yes, the solutions is written for Windows, but the same solution can be applied to Linux. I did it before, just look for the same file in Linux. I moved to Thunderbird V60 now, so cannot give you the exact locations. But you can find them easily.

Thanks to this guy I got a better zoom UI, fonts are bigger and ZD 7.3.1 is more usable now. So say thanks to him.

If you have an android phone you can try using the following apps to synchronise.
