but i agree that it isnt optimal.i understand the blackbox concept BUT databaseserver are an different animal specially mysqldatabases and their behaivior.theres a lot todo which CANT be tuned out of the box (since zimbra cannot know ever how many user/ram on my db server is) for example.or disksyst...

i follow the advise of using a dedicated server for zimbra. mysql isnt the only problem. you need also another apache installation so you need a second ip anyway (oyu cant use 2 http server on the same IP and Port)But you can do 2 other things. you can use the mysql instance in the zimbra server for...

OK, i expected that anyway :-)The thing is the following: We want to offer Zimbra as a special Service (since Lincense and Hardwarecost are a bit Higher then a normal Linuxbased Mailhost) and i never expected to even think about offering Zimbra as a Basci Service too..But since we evaluating we star...

is it technically possible to drive a mix of Network and Comunity Editions?

Using same backend Server (like a common Ldap?)
