8.8.12 Patch 2 not available on Ubuntu with apt-get upgrade

I just upgraded from Zimbra 8.8.11 Patch 4 to 8.8.12. It seems like Patch 1 is included in the download that is located at https://files.zimbra.com/downloads/8.8.12_GA/zcs-8.8.12_GA_3794.UBUNTU14_64.20190329045002.tgz. Zimbra version Release 8.8.12.GA.3794.UBUNTU14.64 UBUNTU14_64 FOSS edition, Patch...

Re: DNS cache seems corrupt

It could be something on the firewall. It's an older Cisco ASA 5505. However, I'm running a terminal monitor on it at the same time as doing a dig query and I don't see any traffic being blocked from the mail server. The failure occurs when I have zimbra's dnscache running. If I turn zimbra dnscache...

Re: DNS cache seems corrupt

More progress on this. I figured out that the dns caching server that is built into Zimbra is called unbound. I went into /opt/zimbra/conf/unbound.conf.in and changed the log level to from 1 (default) to 3. Restarted the DNScache service with /opt/zimbra/bin/zmdnscachectl restart I then grep'd the z...

Re: DNS cache seems corrupt

Wild guess in case you have a cached AAAA NS record present for aetna ...Do you have an ipv6 address on that nic? Does this work any better on the problem machine in failure mode? I double checked and IPV6 was disabled. Though when I did an $ifconfig, it did show a IPv6 address on Eth0. I used thes...

Re: My DNS queries were seem refused

Have you considered using a resolver other than googles, ones such as 9.9.9.9 and 1.1.1.1 might be worth trying to see if anything changes. Yes, I used my ISP's DNS servers in the configuration instead of Google. I get the same issue. I just want to note that I manage a few other Ubuntu/Zimbra serv...

Re: My DNS queries were seem refused

Finally, i found that some queries are good, some queries are bad because the firewall block UDP due to a Outbound UDP Flood rule. This rule limit 20 connections/s. I disabled this rule for 24h till now, everything come back like before. SPAM was denied by DNS Blocklist and DCC, Razor + Pyzor score...

Re: Slow sending emails

Did you ever end up fixing this issue?

If so, how?

Thanks,
David

[Resolved]DNS cache seems corrupt

Hello, I have a very weird problem that I have just noticed. It all started because mail from a very reputable international insurance company (aetna.com) keeps going into our junk folders for all of our users. At first I was trying to whitelist it, but today I realized that the problem was this. Se...

Re: how to whitelist a domain no matter what?

Thanks for replying. I literally just got through creating a opt/zimbra/data/spamassassin/localrules/sauser.cf file with the following: whitelist_auth *@agooddomain.com and then zmamavisdctl restart && zmmtactl restart I suspect what is happening is that the /opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_blacklis...
