Re: Zimbra Security Update
I see my post was deleted, but I can say the weakness was in the webinterface (not SMTP or IMAP). I thought that was interesting. So we have posts detailing how and where to find the "list of 3 files" from a source anyone can get access to, but posting the file names crosses a line. I'm i...

Re: Configuration zimbraMTATrustedNetwork
Okay, sorry I think I did not explain clearly. So I have 5 MTA servers. I just use one MTA (MTA A) for publicly. The other 4 MTA, (MTA B, MTA C, MTA D, MTA E) I use it for internal only, like for application purpose. So far, if there is an internal application that wants to use MTA (B,C,D,E) it nee...

Re: Configuration zimbraMTATrustedNetwork
I'm sending email using telnet smtp.com 25 from domain that not hosted by my Zimbra server to domain that is hosted by my Zimbra server. But actually this happen after I have update zimbra to patch 41. No, it happened the day you installed the Zimbra server, and it's how E-mail works. I've just che...

Re: Configuration zimbraMTATrustedNetwork
Send email to where? More detail required.
If you are sending to a domain not hosted by your Zimbra server, then you have a problem. If however you are sending E-mail to an address that is hosted by your Zimbra server you don't have a problem.

Re: Zimbra Security Update
Synacor made their position pretty clear in this blog post back in 2020 : https://blog.zimbra.com/2020/05/is-zimbra-open-source-yes-faqs-about-zimbra-ose-for-you/ If you're not a paying customer, then you have the source. Sort it out yourself or buy a subscription. I haven't seen any deviation from ...

Re: Zimbra Security Update
Given it would appear to be a zero day and sounds like a big hole, one would assume the desire to keep it under wraps until the patches were widely deployed.

Re: Zimbra Security Update
The release notes say : "The patch will remove 3 files after which a mailbox restart is required, in case you cannot install the latest patch, manual mitigation steps (really simple ones) will be available via Zimbra Support Portal. " It doesn't take much detective work looking at the late...

Re: zimbra installation using bash script
Heck, I didn't even know that! Thanks Mark.L. Mark Stone wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 12:34 pm Also, if you perform a manual install of Zimbra, after the install completes you will find a root-owned file /opt/zimbra/config.<some numbers>.
Adjust the values to your liking and then you can automate future installs

Re: zimbra installation using bash script
Don't use a bash script. Use a defaults file. Google "zimbra defaults file". My test one looks like this : SKIP_ACTIVATION_CHECK=yes CREATEADMINPASS="f87654321" LICENSE="/tmp/ZLicense.xml" INSTALL_PACKAGES="zimbra-core zimbra-ldap zimbra-logger zimbra-mta zimbra-sn...

Re: Dnsmasq Issue When Installing Zimbra 8.5
I solved the same issue by installing dnsmasq on the Zimbra server, but seeing as you've gone the other way that's not going to work for you.
