Re: Zimbra 9 Modern Client in Network Edition Only

What is Zimbra 9 - it's exactly the same as 8.8.15 with a new feature called modern UI which happens to be closed source - just like ZCO, NG Modules etc. It's also possible to build or download the v9 binaries from a third party. I botched an 8.8.15->9 migration today by doing something that messed...

Re: Bug #108811 on Zimbra9 modern ui

Try an email with inline images and a real attachment. thanks again That's what I did. One Email with an inline image and an attachment. Reply leaves the inline in and gives no option for the attachment. Forward leaves the inline and attachment. If I get a minute on the weekend I'll do some screens...

Re: Bug #108811 on Zimbra9 modern ui

Edited the question but you'd already replied. I can't find an option to do it in the Modern UI, but it does automatically include the inlines in the reply.

....deleted because I tried it anyway.

I can't find an option to attach files from original message in the modern UI. It does automatically include the inlines in the reply though.

Re: How to set up Zimbra on my centos 7 using my own domain?

One trick I've used is to set up dnsmasq on the host and have it serve up the localhost ip address for domain and mx requests by ZImbra. It's not entirely orthodox, but it has never caused me an issue. In fact it makes it super easy to clone the VM and bring it up in a staging environment with diffe...

Re: Zimbra 8.8.15 NE sending license and server data to zextras

I checked the EULA. Clauses 11.4. Data Privacy and 11.6. Privacy Policy would allow the collection of data. 11.6 explicitly calls out ZeXtras : "Use of any information collected by Synacor’s licensors shall be governed by such licensor’s privacy policy, such as Synacor’s licensor, Zextras, whos...

Re: Zimbra 8.8.15 NE sending license e-mails to zextras

So I thought I'd look even closer. I probably shouldn't have. On server start, the zextras modules immediately do an "update check" to https://updates.zextras.com. If it succeeds it sets a flag which inhibits the generation of the license update e-mail for 30 days. If it fails, the first l...

Re: Zimbra 8.8.15 NE sending license e-mails to zextras

I don't know how I feel about Zimbra sending off data without my permission. I don't care what the reason is, as far as I'm concerned no company should submit data to some unknown destination without user consent or explanation and it should not be mandatory to accept that happening. This is disgra...

Zimbra 8.8.15 NE sending license and server data to zextras

G'day all, I thought I'd take a look at the new stuff available in Zimbra 9, so I grabbed a new demo license and spun up an 8.8.15 VM to experiment with, planing to do an in-place upgrade to 9. We have an isolated network hooked up to a dummy "internet" where we safely trial software and &...
