Missing read permissions on /opt/zimbra/common/etc/openldap/slapd.conf
After the 8.8.11 patch 3 I'm seeing the following error while the NG backup runs: Missing read permissions on /opt/zimbra/common/etc/openldap/slapd.conf I did run a zmfixperms as root but still see the same message. The permissions on the item are: -rw------- 1 root root 2179 Sep 18 2018 slapd.conf ...

Cisco Integration Question
Hello, After recently upgrading our Zimbra Install we were looking to do the Cisco integration with voice services. Currently, we have the Voicemail and Phone Services working fine but are on the last spot of looking to get Presence setup. We've pointed Zimbra to the service URL, but haven't been ab...

Backup notification options
Hi there, We recently moved to ZCS Network Edition 8.8.11 and am wondering if there is a way to tune the Backup NG module to only send E-Mails on backup failures. Right now there are a handful of E-Mails coming in for each component (LDAP, Chat Server, etc) on a start and a success. Nothing too craz...

GAL contains old e-Mail address for user
I'm in the Zimbra 8.6 product and our GAL auto-complete for a user contains an old E-mail address for the user. Is there a way to refresh the GAL content to pull in the newer E-Mail?

8.6.0 -> 8.7.1 upgrade failure
Hi all, This morning we attempted to upgrade from Zimbra 8.6.0_GA_1200 (build 20160606111426) to 8.7.1 and were unsuccessful. We did create a snapshot of the VM prior to upgrading and restored so we didn't lose any e-mail. After making sure all the needed items were installed we went through the ins...

Enforcing from match exception
We are currently requiring in our setup the from address to match the authenticated username to combat spam. We use a 3rd party e-mail system that connects to our Zimbra server with the username of relay, however the e-mails come from the end-user's ID. These are not being allowed through since the ...

Finding SMTP auth IPs
We frequently have an issue of people attempting to send mail through our server by guessing user passwords. Eventually this causes an account to get locked out. I'm looking at using fail2ban (currently works fine with web-based attempted logins - blocks IP after 5 attempts) for SMTP requests and am...

Changing IP Address
Hi everyone, I currently have an 8.0.9 system setup at 192.168.40.8 and a new machine (to build) planned out at 192.168.40.80. The new machine will be on a private virtual switch allowing me to segment the two machines and have both resolve with the correct production hostname. When the time comes t...
