Zimbra is actually targeting the issue as Zimbra Rating "Low" https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.8.15/P38 . Can someone give further information?

Update on Ubuntu 18.04 Zimbra 8.8.15p35 When we applied Patch 35, everything seemed to go smoothly. Now with Patch 36, after a reboot most of the Zimbra Services would not start. For new we just rolled back to the snapshot we took just before updating. That really sounds strange. Considering p36 on...

@H_Rocky yes the develop branch gives you the latest. I used to allow my scripts to build from tags, however it was very hit-and-miss in terms of stability, so it's always best to build from the develop branch.
