Check the value of zimbraReverseProxyImapStartTlsMode and zimbraReverseProxyPop3StartTlsMode . Set it to "on" if not already and you should be up and running in no time . Let me know if this helps .

It seems there is some corruption in your mysql db . Try https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Mysql_Crash_Recovery and run db integrity check before performing the upgrade .

ZCS 8.8 is not released yet and if you are talking about ZCS 8.7.8 , it is still in dev preview and not production ready. Also if you have license and valid support , please reach out to Zimbra Support team.

You need to first get proxy and memcached installed and working on 8.6 before upgrading to 87. Follow this to get it working. Once it is done then upgrade to 8.7
