Jorge,
Your post basically answered the question by stating - the older NE backup commands will still work, they aren't removed or their functionality disabled once you start using the new NG backup/restore module.

Re: Github Issues
Some changes are coming, in the forum post about the next USA COMMIT - https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?t=62055 - this was mentioned: "We'll also be debuting email address for OS contributors at @zimbra.org, and we'll be opening up Jira for project tracking for the Zimbra community. (No,...

Re: Zimbra API error
There's a chance that the code wasn't updated to use "zmprov -l gaa" vs "zmprov gaa". I forget which version of ZCS is was, but there was a change where -l was required for gaa to work.

Re: Forum auth timeout and mailing list
I've also experienced the auth time out and find it to be a turn off working with the forums. I also would prefer the option to interact with the forum via a mailing list.
Jorge, how would we go about considering a move to discourse or another platform that offers more options?
Regards,
Adam

You might also consider upgrading your old server to version 6 [https://wiki.zextras.com/wiki/Compatibi ... Release:_6] and then using zextras migration wizard. https://www.zextras.com/suite/migration-tool/

General Advise/Guidance on Porting to BSD
Advise shared with me from others I talked to or who have responded to my questions about porting. Please use the forums for general discussions and help on porting issues. Zimbra has disabled the 'issues' section (and other bits) on GitHub, the only 'communication' that takes place on GitHub is a c...

Re: Breaking down the First Zimbra COMMIT in NYC
The event far exceeded my expectations - from the information that was shared during the presentation to the evening socials. It truly felt like an "open source" conference. The Thursday Zeta Alliance conference call agenda is available now at https://goo.gl/iNPCzO . I've been adding infor...

Thanks for the updates Jorge and Erynn! The Zeta Alliance is also trying to working on it's own road map of sorts - an issue list. Synacor employee's are welcome to actively engage in this edit by the way. 'Problem-Recommendation-Benefit" https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oKtQoLiX96llkS3tLYi4...
