Yes, it's vandalia_zimbra.vandaliaresearch.com, provided that resolves.
Try:

host vandalia_zimbra.vandaliaresearch.com
If that returns the correct IP address, use that name to install.

thanks for being patient with me...

host vandalia_zimbra.vandaliaresearch.com does not return the same ip address as the machine that I am installing on.
vandalia_zimbra.vandaliaresearch.com has address 204.251.14.45

[root@vandalia_zimbra zcs]# ifconfig

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:13:20:73:11:E5

inet addr:192.168.2.104 Bcast:192.168.2.255
hum..

Try host 192.168.2.104 and see what comes back.

host 192.168.2.104 yeilds :
host 104.2.168.192.in-addr.arpa not found 3(NXdomain)
So when the network version comes out, do you do onsite install?
its looking like this is a little more than I can handle.

You need to find your network/IT guy, and tell him that you need a static IP for this box (I suspect it's getting it's address from dhcp) and a resolveable, internal hostname (something like zimbramailrocks.vandaliaresearch.com) - then set your server up to use that name/IP (/etc/sysconfig/network, /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0)

thanks for the help,
trouble is that we (Vandalia Research) are only 3 guys deep, and we are all science/DNA type guys.
The other 2 guys are windows only kind of people.. I use ubuntu as my desktop at home and I have used FC3 as the OS for my 2 mythtv boxes, as such I got tapped to figureout the zimbra install.
Thanks for you help, I will try again and start fresh monday...with a static IP

I really hope that this thing takes off for you guys, and I hope that we can get it figured out. (I think that we can, just going to take some time, and a little rtfm...
