Bill, thanks for the link to the bug report, but it looks like it is still open. I'm still not up and running at this point. I didn't see anything in the bugzilla entry that looked like a suggested solution, or am I missing it? I'll keep digging around, but I'd sure appreciate any pointers, and I would be happy to be a guinea pig for trying things out.

Did you try moving redo.log out of the way?

Thanks for the response. I'm in the process of doing an "upgrade" in place...basically a fresh install, restore backup, upgrade and then see what happens. If that doesn't work, I'll look for the redo log. I'll post back once I get done with this...

OK, that didn't work, so I'm moving redo.log out of the way. Not sure what that does, but I'm ready to try anything!

Still no joy. OK, I'll start digging through all the logs I can find and see if I can come up with anything.

Just to recap, please verify the following:
Can you access Zimbra from the Zimbra machine?
Is this firefox only? If so, I don't think it's that bug.
What does zmcontrol status say?
Is there anything in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log

You're right, it's not the server at all. It is running fine, no errors in mailbox.log, catalina.log and zmcontrol status shows everyone running and happy. I can get to webmail from other client machines. There's something wrong with my linux client machine somewhere - I'll keep messing with it.
Thanks for your patience and sorry for the noise. I've never had any problems with Zimbra that I couldn't quickly fix, I shouldn't have suspected one now. I guess seeing the open bug on the same problem led me on this wild goose chase. At least I'm on the 1044 build now and have a couple extra good backups
I have to say, I really appreciate the way you guys support even us OSS version users. I only host e-mail for a handful of family members, but they all sing the praises of the software. Of course I try to take all the credit wherever possible.
Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to 5.0!

Resolved! I finally started deleting chunks of my Firefox profile. I'm not sure which one did it, but everything works now. FYI, it wasn't the cookies, extensions, cache, bookmarks (or bookmarkbackups) or mimetypes. I whacked most of the rest of it and something there fixed it. Sorry I wasn't more methodical, but I wanted to get it fixed fast.
