No longer shared contacts sync after Upgrade to 8.7.3

Hi,

after updating our Ubuntu 12.04LTS with Zimbra 8.6 Patch8 to Zimbra 8.7.3 there is no sync of the shared contacts?!?!?!
Zimbra is a Network Edition of course with a valid support subscription.

Someone has a glue?

It seems like the "remembered" contacts also disappeared (moving from 8.0.9 NE to 8.7.3 NE). Apparently many of our users are NOT storing these in E-mailed contacts. So we've had quite a few reports about this from our users.

We opened a case (00212499) with Zimbra support about it. We were told to use:

zmmailbox -z -m user@example.com autoComplete -v "auto-complete entry"

This came back empty for every single address we tried it for. So it seems like this "temporary cache" has been cleared during the upgrade

That is NOT our problem!

We can't sync the folders in Contacts. Even if we create a new contacts folder, we are unable to sync it!
There is a zimbra ticket for this too but no engenieer has replied yet.


OK I figured out that new local created folders are synced.

Why is it set to FALSE?
Why can't I change it in the GUI?

zmprov ma user@example.com zimbraMobileShareContactEnabled TRUE
This sets it to Enabled.

zmprov mc default zimbraMobileShareContactEnabled TRUE

you can set it for the entire COS profile.

It isn't a bug. It is only because of the upgrade.
Since 8.5 it is disabled per default. Makes no sense to us. That is not how collaboration works... or?
We made upgrade from 8.6.0 -> 8.7.3 and support told us:
