Not sure what went wrong but suddenly users not Thunderbird were neither able to send mail nor able to receive messages. We recently have re-keyed the SSL certificate to deploy for other purpose.
Could this be reason?

Ok guys - I figured this out and looks like an certificate issue which we had rekeyed. We added new cert and everything started working absolutely fine.
