Suddenly only Thunderbird users have stopped communicating

Hi All,
Not sure what went wrong but suddenly users not Thunderbird were neither able to send mail nor able to receive messages. We recently have re-keyed the SSL certificate to deploy for other purpose.
Could this be reason?
