Hi,
I need to deploy a VMware virtual machine with Zimbra for 150 users and about 500 GB storage.
Which resources do you recommend (cpu, ram)?
Thankyou!

Re: Sizing virtual server
Assuming the users are fairly active and each have a mix of IMAP, mobile and web UI connections for accessing their email, 12GB RAM and 4 CPU cores should be fine. Just make sure you have fast disks. We further suggest using separate VMDKs for the root partition and for /opt, but mostly for advanced D/R purposes; it's not needed for basic use.armitage318 wrote:Hi,

If the single server is going to process a lot of inbound email, say more than 5K messages per hour, then you may want to put Amavis's temp drive on a RAM disk.
The Performance Wiki Raun referred you to above will give a very good understanding of what's going on behind the scenes with vSphere.
Hope that helps,Mark
