Hi All,
It has been 2 years since I last did a major migration from 7.1.3 to 8.6 with last update (8.6.0_GA_1194.NETWORK) I'm being asked to upgrade to the newest release.
I'm here to seek help to know whether I can upgrade from 8.6.0 go 8.8.5 with the latest 8.8.5 installer? or I need to upgrade remaining patches of 8.6 then move on to 8.7 installer, patches and then begin with 8.8 installer? your response much appreciated!.
Regards,
Thanks

Hello Barath,
Well if you are in 8.6, you might be sure you have proxy/Memcached installed, follow the next article if not before do anything: From there, I will recommend try the upgrade in a demo environment or have snapshots, etc.
If you are in ZCS 8.6 you might have an old Operating system, didn't you?
Best regards

Hello Jorge,
I checked and don't have the proxy and memcache installed, my operating system version is Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS.

Hello,
Then the first step is to follow that article and install proxy and Memcached, from there you can perform an upgrade to 8.8. I do recommend to you to do first a test scenario on a different lab system or have snapshots or so to be able to rollback in case you need to do so.
Best regards
