Zimbra 8.8: "Server is unwilling to perform" when using LDAP multi-master

Hello,

I've been using LDAP multi-master since 8.0 and I've done some installations of Zimbra 8.8.6 and I've noticed that right after installing the second server it generates a lot of the message below on the logs:

Feb 16 17:23:15 ldap2 slapd[4044]: do_syncrep2: rid=100 LDAP_RES_SEARCH_RESULT (53) Server is unwilling to perform
Feb 16 17:23:15 ldap2 slapd[4044]: do_syncrep2: rid=100 (53) Server is unwilling to perform

I've followed the wiki steps to install and enable MMR: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/LDAP_Multi_Master_Replication

I've done a test installation, ensuring that the OS is the same and the timezone and date/time are correct. I've installed only the LDAP services and the message was displayed right after installing the second LDAP. I'm doing these tests because in a production environment with 8.8.6 the LDAP servers got out of sync.

To fix this behaviour I've executed the LDAP export/import steps mentioned in the wiki: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/LDAP_data_import_export

Does anyone else have this experience with LDAP multi-master and Zimbra 8.8?

Kind regards.
Fabio S. Schmidt

Hello,

It seems pretty much like the bug 101054 (https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=101054) mentioned in the LDAP Multi-Master Replication documentation.

I've done several tests and the replication only worked well when exporting the BASE of the first LDAP Server and importing in the others Masters.

Hi,

what is the BASE (when exporting the BASE of the first LDAP Server)? That mean BASE is zimbra ldap DATABASE?

Thanks,
