Notice: Zimbra 8.8.9 Released - 10 July 2018

Zimbra 8.8.9 has been released as a Stable GA release. A number of the new features include are however marked as Beta, and are therefore not supported in production environments.
Further, the new ability to create "Centralized" stores I don't see documented (yet?) in the Admin Guide, Multi-Server Guide, nor in the ZeXtras Powerstore documentation.
Would be nice to use this thread to document your upgrade and other experiences with this release, yes?

Network Edition Download:

Open Source Edition:

Hope that helps!
Mark

The password recovery feature is marked as Beta, and the release notes are clear that Beta components should not be used in production, nor will they be supported.

It's listed in the Admin Guide under Mobile Device Security Policy:
https://zimbra.github.io/adminguide/8.8.9/ - so I guess it's NE only.

Yes it is and it's about the same level of attention that these forums (and moderators) receive.

You're welcome, as always.

Hi Everybody
zmcontrol -v
Release 8.8.8_GA_2009.RHEL7_64_20180322150747 RHEL7_64 NETWORK edition, Patch 8.8.8_P6.
Why did I not get an UPGRADE WARNING, either through my WEBMIN DASHBOARD (as per usual) or through the ZIMBRA ADMIN CONSOLE?

Seems I was mistaken about this feature, it is currently beta:
https://blog.zimbra.com/2018/07/did-you ... bra-8-8-9/ That article doesn't actually mention that it needs to be activated using 'zmprov', you can see the details at the end of that blog post and it's in the "technical functionality" link which is here:
https://rmatuag.github.io/zblog/fp.html
It really would help if Zimbra go their act together and posted some of these announcements in the forums instead of having to search for them on every other media that Zimbra uses. It still doesn't negate my comment about the lack of interest in these forums.
