Hello,

I logged into the official zimbra page and got a temporary key to upgrade my OSE to NE, I uploaded the xml file on the server (/opt/zimbra/conf/ZCSLicense.xml) and downloaded zcs-NETWORK-8.8.12_GA_3794.UBUNTU16_64.
When i try to run the script for installation, is generating this error:

Code: Select all

ERROR: Unable to reach the Zimbra License Activation Server.

License Activation is required when upgrading to ZCS 7 or later.

The ZCS Network upgrade will automatically attempt to activate the
current license as long as the activation server can be contacted.

You can obtain a manual activation key and re-run the upgrade
by specifying the -a activation.xml option.

A manual license activation key can be obtained by either visiting
the Zimbra support portal or contacting Zimbra support or sales.

Already changed permission to 444 and own/group zimbra
-r--r--r-- 1 zimbra zimbra 2.0K Jun 3 18:32 ZCSLicense.xml

Is the validation server out or error in the key?

Hello,
Did you put our license file with "-l" parameter after install.sh? Your server needs to be able to reach the Zimbra license server on the internet as well.

Best regards.

Does your server reach the internet or is it isolated?
Try skipping the activation, you can do it later, once you've installed

./install.sh --skipactivation check
