8.8.12 Patch 3 breaks inline signatures and creates multiple attachments

We have checked the issue and it is reproducible, we have filed a bug for this issue and reported it to our dev team. We will update you as soon as we get a response from the team.

My last case took 6 Month till it was resolved, I hope this time it's faster ....

I can confirm this issue on CentOS 6 - 8.8.12 and Centos 7 - 8.7.11. No fix presented here has solved.

Reinstalling 8.7.11 solved the problem but reinstalling 8.8.12 didn't, obviously without applying the path and it's not possible to downgrade to 8.8.11.

That's because the latest patch (P3) is applied from repositories during the installation of 8.8.12. So at the end of installation you have 8.8.12_P3. 8.8.12_P2 does not have that bug...

I just did an apt update/upgrade on all my servers (multi setup), restarted, left a new message open (with the image in my signature) and no longer appear to be having the issue.
If that changes I'll report back, but it looks like it's fixed (at least on the above version).

is also affected. We have such peculiarity that only images (*.jpeg, *.png, *.gif) contained in an original mail get duplicated as multiple attachments when user composes reply to this mail and presses "save draft"

What are you talking about?
we use this....but I know that exists 3809 which breaks other things...The problem persist
