Hello
We have a charity running on an OLD zimbra server. Instead of getting a new zimbra server we want to use another small machine we have to run postfix/dovecot (it's too small to run Zimbra, I checked).
Can anyone tell me how to take this zimbra server and Export cleanly...the mailboxes so the fit into "Maildir" or whatever the format on postfix/dovecot? I have the server setup, I just need to import.
Thank you. Love Zimbra.
Joe

Thanks! So I'll assume the process is sort of a "live pulling down" of the messages as opposed to an "export of a file, then import on other machine." Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thank you both for your advice.

Hi,
If company is "that small", maybe you could just use something like "thunderbird" and go account by account, if setting up imapsync. (if we are talking 5-6 users...it could be easier if you are not familiar with imapsync).

You got it, it's feature-rich (pretty configurable), but usually basic usage will get you there.

Why don't you search for a free Zimbra hosting ?

I suggest to go for imapsync. Easy to install and migrate mailboxes from one server to another. You may check below links for installation reference.
