I have a mail server currently set up on-site, with static IP and all appropriate DNS records set (which are maintained with our domain provider).
We currently purchased a new server which I am configuring off-site. My plan is to install/configure Zimbra to be our new mail server and, when it's finally set up, physically swap out the two servers and retire our old one.
I want to avoid any down time, but not sure how to accomplish this given the two servers are physically distanced (which may cause problems due to our static IP address and MX records tied to the on-site server). I hope this makes sense... appreciate the help!
