LDAP fragmentation

Post by buzzie »

One of our LDAP replicas running on Release 8.6.0_GA_1153.RHEL6_64_20141215151258 RHEL6_64 NETWORK edition, Patch 8.6.0_P6 may potentially be fragmented. We are currently running mdb_stat as follows. Just wondering what others are using to check for fragmentation?

(/opt/zimbra/openldap-2.4.39.2z/bin/mdb_stat -a -e -f /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/mdb/db | grep "Free pages" | awk '{print $3 * 4096/1024/1024 " MB"}' )

You've given no details of the exact problem nor how you have checked this other than to say "..may potentially...", why do you think that's the case? You should always give your current ZCS version by posting the full output of the following command:

Code: Select all

zmcontrol -v

You could always take a look at some of these commants about fragmentation and see if the point you to anything useful: https://www.startpage.com/do/dsearch?qu ... ge=english
