import wildcard cert - unable to get issuer certificate

Postby BloodyIron » Thu Feb 27, 2014 9:41 pm

I'm trying to import a wildcard cert, but no matter how hard I try I cannot get it to use it.
I have the key, I have the public cert, I have the combined cert for two intermediate certs and the root cert as the last cert in the file.
I've checked for hidden characters in the ca file, but can't find anything wrong with it.
I get the following error when I try to verify the cert with zmcertmgr:
** Verifying domain.com.crt against domain.com.key

Certificate (domain.com.crt) and private key (domain.com.key) match.

XXXXX ERROR: Invalid Certificate: domain.com.crt: C = US, O = GeoTrust Inc., CN = GeoTrust Global CA

error 2 at 2 depth lookup:unable to get issuer certificate

I'm very much out of ideas. Please help?

I have solved it.
For the bundle file I only use the one intermediate CA that was emailed me, and the root CA from here:
It">https://www.geotrust.com/resources/root-certificates/
It
wouldn't work if I added a second intermediate CA.
The new cert, key and bundle cert is deployed live and verified!
