Disable Amavis. How?

In the Past, we disabled Amavis by applying:

zmprov ms `zmhostname` -zimbraServiceEnabled amavis

After upgrading to 8.7.6 Amavis got enabled on its own once more. But after applying the above command, the server does not take any mails via LMTP anymore, until I enable Amavis again?!

We reject and tag spam mails on external mail gateways. Zimbra only searches for junk headers and applies some filter rules.

This Amavis thing came to my attention after finding mails without any junk headers in my junk folder. But this is a different story.

Any hints for me?

Ah, somebody else observed this behavior, that Amavis gets enabled again after upgrades:
