i just tested it on a slightly less important install and it looks like i can view mail again and add users however i'm quite new to zimbra, i can't find the add new admin option, not sure if it's isolated because this set up is not as detailed as my other ones.

That's not likely to be in this release as the bug report mentioned earlier in this thread is still open.
