Inbound SMTP host name

Post by Labsy »

Hi,
since I remember, the parameter "Inbound SMTP host name" under Admin UI --> Domains --> Domain --> General was bothering me.
How does this parameter influence mail flow or processing?

1.) Some of domains on my ZCS indeed have antispam proxy configured via public DNS MX records. But ZCS is behind NAT and internal delivery between domains on this ZCS server does not go through public MX antispam proxy. Should I enter it here or not?

2.) My antispam proxy has 2 MX recors with different priorities. But "Inbound SMTP host name" only accepts one. If I need to enter them here, how would I enter 2 MX hosts?

We are running zcs 8.6 & we host multiple domain in the same server. Out of 10 domain one domain is use external spam relay services. To configure this we have to define that server information in global settings--> MTA --> inbound smtp host name.
But other domain is not use that servers. We have confusion that if we define the inbound smtp host name is it impact the other doamin mail delivery? Can we define the inbound smtp host name for one domain?
