Backup missing

A few weeks ago I installed Zimbra 8.6 FOSS edition. I just upgraded it to 8.8.6 because I couldn't find the backup options but they don't appear to be in the newer version either. The Admin guide very explicitly states that these features are now available in the FOSS version. So, where can I find them? TIA

At the very least you need OSE + ZSP for real-time backup and restore

You can either purchase them from Zimbra or directly from ZeXtras, take your pick.

This is very confusing. The documentation clearly states that the backup is included, The Zimbra add ons you recommended clearly state that they are included with 8.8 and when I tried to install those add ons I got an error that they didn't support version 8.8. Can someone give me a definitive answer on how to get the backup routines installed in version 8.8?

It's not confusing at all, those products are add-ons and being in the documentation doesn't mean it's included just that it's a feature.

It does not state that for the OSS edition and I'd be interested to know where you saw that statement, on the link I gave you scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the 'purchase' button.

That's not surprising, apparently the Zimbra versions have not been upgraded to the lates version for ZCS 8.8.7.

The definitive answer is, you can't do that with the current version from Zimbra and you'll have to get them directly from ZeXtras here (tyhey are exactly the same product with the same feature set): https://www.zextras.com/

You will have to purchase them and they are available for a thirty day trial from ZeXtras, the version from Zimbra is not free and they would need to be purchased, if the version was updated.
