In the appointment scheduler, free/busy status isn't visible

Hi all,

I administer a Zimbra 8.6.0 instance. Recently I stumbled across an interesting issue of which I'm not sure if it's a bug or a configuration thing.
The issue became visible when I tried to schedule an appointment with a coworker, who has also given me full read access to his calendar, I can view his appointments just fine. But when I try to schedule an appointment, his Free/Busy status stays white in the Scheduler view, despite them being busy at the time. I can see their appointments only when I hover over them, but there's still no red/blue bar. It's a bit hard to explain, the attached screenshot should make clear what I mean.
Interestingly enough, from what I've seen so far this only happens when scheduling appointments with Zimbra admins, 'normal' users don't seem to be affected.

Does anyone know what might cause this?
