multi domain hosting

Post by louisg29 »

Oh guru's of zimbra, I need your assistance with this. I am hosting a single server install. It has 2 domain. mail.example1.com, xyz.org. I have a 3rd domain that i am also managing we will call example1.com. Mail is a subdomain with a different ip address of example1.com. The problem i am having is i can send and receive email from any domain to any other domain no problem, but when I try to send from mail.example1.com to example1.com it times out. example1.com is hosted in office365. mail.example1.com is hosted on a internal server. We are using the internal one for service accounts as needed so we don't have to pay for anymore on the office365 account since they would be a waste. Everything resolves in dns as expected, both internally and globally on the internet. So i am not sure what I am missing at this time. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

We need log files to help; please post the delivery errors from /var/log/zimbra.log.

Please also post the contents of /etc/hosts, /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/hostname, as well as the output of "zmcontrol -v" run as the zimbra user.

All the best,
Mark

I did change the domains and internal ip's only to reflect from my initial post. Aside from that, all the info from those items is here including the public one for office 365 (23.236.62.147).
