Two domain , one local - Suggestion

Hi at All,
I need some suggestion about a configuration.

The infrastructure are :

- 1 domain example.com on exchange server. This is the primary domain and relay all mail via internet ( mx record )
- 1 domain local.example.com on Zimbra. This domain is only for local mail, but I need to comunicate only via mail with example.com and not on internet.

Someone can point me?
